Groundwater Quality Assessments
The quality of groundwater ultimately determines the possibilities for end use. For instance, the same groundwater may be appropriate for irrigation and some industrial purposes, but may require specific treatment for drinking use. Northgate’s certified hydrogeologists and professional geologists and engineers evaluate the groundwater chemistry and aquifer properties to determine if the groundwater is suitable for the desired use. To better understand groundwater, Northgate supports groundwater cleanup efforts and assesses potential impacts to groundwater quality from land use practices. Northgate applies a holistic approach, assessing long-term viability of the water supply in the context of the surrounding land uses, future growth, and groundwater quality.
