TechWomen Professional Mentors gather before the arrival of the emerging STEM leaders

Northgate is proud to be supporting TechWomen again in 2014.  This will be the third time Northgate has participated in TechWomen.  This year, Northgate will be hosting an emerging leader from Tunisia who has particular interest in soil investigations and geotechnical challenges.

TechWomen, a program sponsored by the US Department of State, connects women leaders from Africa and the Middle East focused on developing their careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with talented professional mentors throughout the Bay Area. This year, the 78 visiting women from Algeria, Cameroon, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Nigeria, the Palestinian Territories, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tunisia, Yemen, and Zimbabwe will work with 40 Bay Area and Silicon Valley companies, attend professional networking events and workshops, and connect with inspiring and talented women professionals.  Northgate is very excited to be a part of this community, to be inspired by the emerging leaders, learn about their home countries and cultures, and to support our peers working in the fields of science and engineering.
