Northgate is pleased to announce 2019’s addition of two talented and experienced principal engineers to our leadership team, Ana Demorest and Terri Herson.
After joining Northgate as an Senior Engineer in January of this year, Ana has demonstrated leadership through her skill, dedication, and work ethic leading to her promotion as Principal EngineerWith 30 years of experience, she adds extensive expertise leading multi-disciplined teams specializing in geotechnical and environmental engineering. Ana has served as a project manager, design manager, senior technical consultant, and lead engineer on a wide variety of environmental restoration, remediation, and infrastructure improvement projects. Her background draws upon design and construction for projects including remediation, restoration, flood control, water resources, roadway, solid waste, and facility upgrade projects. Ana earned her BS in Civil Engineering from the Oregon State University and an MS in Civil and Geotechnical Engineering from the University of California – Berkeley.
Terri joins Northgate as a PrincipalEnvironmental Engineer. A business management professional, Terri focuses primarily on shaping, selling, and executing environmental and sustainability programs. She is a proven sustainability expert with 22 years of experience with soil and groundwater investigations, environmental engineering, feasibility studies, risk assessments, remediation, sustainability, energy efficiency, energy consulting, and construction oversight. Terri is also LEED AP certified. Terri holds a BS in Conservation Studies, Environmental Science and Management from University of California – Berkeley and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Penn State University. She has also served as a member of the Program Advisory Board at the Commonwealth Club in San Francisco and a Volunteer Moderator for the Center for Resource Solutions.
