Northgate Supports Oakland Leaf to Rebuild a School Garden

This past weekend, Northgate helped Oakland Leaf rebuild the school garden at International Community School/Think College Now. Receiving lumber, tools, and soil donations from Ashby Lumber and local nurseries, we were able to demolish the old, decaying garden beds and build seven new raised garden beds.  Students at this East Oakland school will plant the beds with vegetables and herbs. This school garden will provide a place for interactive learning, connection to the environment, and raw materials to make healthy nutritional choices. Northgate Obtains NO FURTHER ACTION in 10 month period for Former Dry Cleaner Site

Northgate’s experience expediting remediation and closure recently resulted in a No Further Action certification for a former dry cleaner site in La Verne, California. The NFA, issued by the City and County of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, was for one of over a dozen solvent sites that Northgate has closed by implementing cutting-edge remediation technology respected by regulators and developing  exit strategies that serve the best interests of our clients.   Northgate is committed to reducing long-term costs and liabilities for our clients. Northgate Supports TechWomen Mentoring Girls in STEM Community Event at Twitter

This week Northgate attended the TechWomen Mentoring Girls in STEM Community Event hosted by Twitter’s Women in Engineering Group, #WOMENG. We met many inspiring emerging leaders from Africa and the Middle East, as well as  professional and cultural mentors from STEM organizations around the Bay Area.
